To the Parents of 6th Grade Students:
In order to address student needs and staffing effectiveness, we have made the following adjustments to our 6th grade Social Studies department. Effective Wednesday, December 4, 2024, Ms. Gabrielle Bellard will teach 6th grade Social Studies.
Ms. Bellard recently graduated with a Bachelor's of Social Work from Northwestern University. During her experience with Camp Accelerate last summer, she developed a passion for teaching and fostering our future leaders. Although she is new to this profession, Ms. Bellard is very committed and thrilled to continue creating a supportive, engaging, nurturing classroom environment where all students will succeed inside and outside the classroom.Ms. Bellard is a great addition to our Bobcat Family!
As we make this transition, please know that we are providing extra support for students to continue their schedules, routines, procedures, and expectations.

We are super proud to announce our District Students of the Year. Introducing Braelynn O. (Arnaudville Middle), the 5th-grade District Student of the Year; Addisyn D. (MACA), the 8th-grade District Student of the Year; and Fajah G. (Eunice High School), the 12th-grade district student of the year. CMS: there are buses that may be late picking up students from their bus stops and dropping them off at school due to a traffic jam on Hwy 190. Students who arrive late will be excused.
Permission forms have gone home to 5th grade students for the upcoming Body Talk, presented by the Foundation for Wellness. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 12th at CMS for students whose parents sign and return a permission slip. Central Middle School students and staff hosted a Veterans Day program to honor men and women who have served our country. Veterans from the VFW Post 8971 demonstrated to 5th grade students how to raise a flag. Our special guests joined our student body for a program. Guest speakers Pastor Lloyd and Denise Antoine shared words of inspiration to our students. Thanks to CMS staff members serving on the Veterans Day committee for organizing this event: C. Guillory, B. Ventress, K. Stagg, and J. Ford!
