A quick reminder before all students return to school, tomorrow Monday 8/12, students are not allowed to wear hoodies or jackets with hoods. Outerwear should not have any writing and it should be solid black, white, navy, or heather gray. Backpacks must be mesh or clear. Purses must be clear. Students are going to be issued lockers at homeroom and are to leave their cell phones, smart watches, head phones or ear pods in their book bag in their lockers until the end of the school day. We are pleased to inform you that the St. Landry Parish School Board is participating in a meal service option called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). All enrolled students in the District are eligible to receive a breakfast and lunch meal at NO CHARGE to your household throughout the school year. Opelousas Senior High School does not have a BioMed program because there is no BioMed pathway with the Louisiana Department of Education. We do not have BioMed specific courses, a BioMed facilitator, and no acceptance procedures or fees for BioMed. PLTW courses are offered to all students. If your child is interested in taking PLTW courses at the Annex building have your child complete the schedule request change document within the first ten days of school. Schedule request change documents will be available on the first day of school. If your child has a scheduling conflict or issue contact the school counselors.
