Faculty, Staff, Students, and Community members,
In accordance with the Louisiana Department of Health's Regional 4 Office of Public Health (OPH) recommendations concerning viral respiratory illnesses in schools, as provided by Epidemiologist Angie Orellana, all students or staff members are required to be fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of fever-reducing medications before returning to the school environment.
Please read and be prepared,
Coach Mac

Dear Families and Community members,
As we continue to see an increase in respiratory illnesses, fever, and flu symptoms, please keep your child home if they are running a fever. Your child should remain at home until they have been fever-free for a minimum of 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication.
Please notify the office when your child will be absent, and call us if you have any questions. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep our school community healthy.
Sincerely,
Coach Mac

Community, Faculty, Staff, & Students
Thank you in advance for your continued support of our school. We will hold another work day on Saturday, December 13 to clean the school and athletic fields. We will be picking up trash, weedeating, applying weed control, pressure washing bleachers and buildings, and doing other general cleanup. After finishing at the school, we will move to the football complex to assist with field cleanup and help the softball and baseball teams prepare for the upcoming season.
If you have tractors, mowers, weedeaters, or trailers available, we would greatly appreciate bringing them. Any and all help is welcome — we are a community school, and every contribution matters.
GEAUX Red Devils!
Thank you again,
Coach Mac

The town of Port Barre has invited us to join in the annual Christmas parade, and we are encouraging all students to participate. The event is scheduled for December 20, 2026, at 5:30 PM. We will collaborate on campus to construct and finalize the floats on December 19th. We welcome the involvement of students, faculty, and the broader community as we plan and prepare for the holiday season. Let's come together to celebrate this festive time with our outstanding community.

Our town is organizing its annual Christmas Parade. They have reached out and asked if our school would like to register floats and participate in the event. We are sharing the flyer, and registration forms are available in Coach Mac's office. Please consider joining our community parade if you are affiliated with any clubs, sports, groups, etc. They would love to see our school involved! We have a scheduled half-day on December 19th at school, and will be working on floats from now throughout the day on the 19th to prepare for the parade. We ask the community, students, and staff to get involved and show our town how much we care.
