Plaisance Middle School's 8th Grade Quest for Success class is partnering with Foster to Love to host a penny drive fundraiser from April 1- 30, 2025. All donations will benefit children in foster care placements in St. Landry Parish.

Plaisance Middle School students participated in a presentation by Buffy "Mr. Magic" Coleman. Mr. Coleman provided motivational words and encouraged the students to do their best on the upcoming LEAP 2025 Testing.
ATTENTION! ATTENTION! PMS Parents tomorrow is the day we begin 5th-8th LEAP 2025 Testing. We will test ELA and Math on Tuesday 4/29/25, Wednesday 4/30/25, & Thursday 5/1/25. We will have Make-ups on Friday 5/2/25. We will test Science and Social Studies starting Monday 5/5/25, Tuesday 5/6/25 and Wednesday 5/7/25. Thursday 5/8/25 and Friday 5/9/25 will be our final Make-up days.

As we gear up for this year's state testing we are going to take the time to celebrate our students' past accomplishments via our 2nd Annual Academic Pep Rally!!! If yall remember they helped us to get '24 Top Gains Recognition from the State of Louisiana! And that is no small feet, let me tell you! Reminder to all PMS families we will be 5th-8th LEAP Testing from April 29th-May 7th. We will take the ELA & Math Sessions 1-3 on April 29th-May 1st. Friday May 2nd will be slated for Makeups. The Science and Social Studies tests Session 1-3 will start on May 5th-May 7th. The final round of Makeups will be May 8th and 9th. Please make sure that all students are well rested and on time each day of testing.
